About
Ed Barone is the co-founder and Chief Marketing Officer of RentRedi, a landlord-tenant property management software company. He brings more than 30 years across marketing, finance, and real estate to a business he helped start from a family idea.
RentRedi began when his son Ryan built an app so his college friends could store the documents needed to apply for rentals. When landlords started asking for something similar to manage their own properties instead of paper, pens, and spreadsheets, the two co-founded RentRedi. Ed has led marketing and brand since, helping scale the company into a nationally recognized name in rental management.
That growth is now on the public record three years running. RentRedi debuted on the Inc. 5000 at No. 180 in 2024, returned in 2025 at No. 666 nationally, No. 71 among software companies and No. 58 in New York on three-year revenue growth of 627 percent, and was named again in 2026 at No. 1431. Ed is a longtime Saratoga Springs resident and is based in the Albany, New York area.

Education
We didn't set out to build another piece of property management software. We saw firsthand how much time landlords were spending piecing together spreadsheets, paperwork, and disconnected tools just to manage their properties. With my background in real estate and finance, I understood how important it was to build something that could help landlords run their businesses more efficiently while keeping their long-term financial goals in view. That has been at the heart of RentRedi from the beginning.— Ed Barone, Co-Founder & CMO, RentRedi
